Seán is artistic director for Tilted Wig Productions - a UK touring theatre company. As well as working as a freelance director, he is also a permanent acting lecturer at Manchester School of Theatre.  

Seán's production of THE SCHOOL FOR SCANDAL starring Joseph Marcell opened at Theatre By The Lake earlier this year and is touring nationally to venues including
Shakespeare North, Northampton Royal & Oxford Playhouse. 

In 2023, he directed FRANKENSTEIN - a new play, based on the classic novel which toured the UK to venues including York Theatre Royal, Derby Theatre & Ipswich New Wolsey. Frankenstein will be touring again in Autumn 2024. He also directed MR BURNS; A POST ELECTRIC PLAY and HUSBANDS AND SONS for Manchester School of Theatre.

Previously, he adapted and directed THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY on a major UK Tour.

He was nominated for Best Director at The Stage Debut Awards for his production of
RICHARD III at the Rosemary Branch Theatre.

He assisted Derek Bond on the world premiere of Tom Fletcher's THE CHRISTMASAURUS at the Hammersmith Apollo and Damian Cruden on the UK tour of MURDER, MARGARET AND ME. 

 

In 2018, he directed new play LOVE LAB, at the Tristan Bates (now Seven Dials Playhouse) which was revived for Brighton Fringe Festival 2019.

Seán has taught and directed at various UK drama schools. As well as being a regular director at Manchester School of Theatre (MMU), he has also worked at schools including LIPA, Rose Bruford, Arts Ed and Northampton BA Acting as well as running workshops for ATG West End Creative learning.
